Phrank Shaibu, the special assistant on public communication to Atiku Abubakar, has given advice to former Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, suggesting that he should reduce his alcohol consumption following Wike’s revelation of organ failure due to suspected poisoning.
Phrank stated that excessive alcohol consumption is known to lead to various health issues such as high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, liver disease, digestive problems, and certain types of cancer. He also mentioned other ailments associated with excessive drinking, including a weakened immune system, learning and memory problems, and poor sexual performance. Shaibu questioned whether Wike’s hoarse and husky voice could also be attributed to food poisoning if that was the case.
Phrank further highlighted that Wike has openly expressed his love for alcohol, particularly whiskey, and has been seen drinking in videos. Given Wike’s drinking habits, Shaibu suggested that alcohol poisoning, rather than food poisoning, could be a possible cause of his organ failure.
In addition, Shaibu advised Wike to seek confession instead of thanksgiving, considering his alleged involvement in electoral malpractices during the Rivers state election. He criticized Wike’s actions and called for repentance before offering thanksgiving.
Shaibu commended Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for referring to Wike as an erratic and dangerous individual. However, he advised Makinde to focus on governing Oyo State and delivering the promised benefits to its people, rather than aligning himself with Wike and other former governors who are currently seeking employment and protection.
In conclusion, Shaibu emphasized the need for Wike to reduce his alcohol consumption and expressed his views on Wike’s actions and character, while also addressing Governor Makinde’s involvement with Wike.
